About Kenny

Kenny Peavy is passionate about outdoor education, helping people connect deeply with nature and encouraging environmental stewardship. He holds a B.Sc. in Biology from the University of Georgia and an M.Sc. from Montana State University, with a background in research spanning soil studies, aquatic entomology, and water quality.
With over 25 years of experience, Kenny has worked as a naturalist and educator across the U.S., Southeast Asia, and Indonesia. He has led students from international schools such as United World College Southeast Asia, International School of Kuala Lumpur, and Dulwich College on outdoor education and service learning expeditions throughout the region.

Kenny is also an experienced consultant, training educators in outdoor experiential education and speaking at conferences such as the Global Issues Network, Sustainability Summit in Dubai, and Humane Education Conference in the U.S.

He is the author of As if the Earth Matters, recommended by the National Science Teachers Association, and The BOX People, an illustrated children’s book advocating for outdoor exploration.

Kenny’s commitment to environmental conservation has earned him Volunteer of the Year awards from Georgia Adopt-A-Stream and the Malaysian Nature Society. Currently, he serves as Head of Curriculum at Green Camp Bali and leads the Adventure English as a Second Language program at Green School Bali.
