As indoor climbing continues to rise in popularity, the need for qualified instructors has never been greater. This Climbing Wall Instructor course, aligned with standards set by the Climbing Wall Association (CWA), prepares you to effectively instruct and manage climbing activities in a safe and professional manner.

Whether you are a seasoned climber or looking to enhance your skills, this course will provide you with essential knowledge and practical experience in areas such as:

  • equipment and facility inspection
  • client orientation and instruction
  • teaching top rope skills
  • teaching lead skills (optional)
  • bouldering and spotting
  • emergency procedures

Certification Levels: Bouldering, Top Rope, Lead Climbing (3-year validity)

Josh’s work across cultures and his rescue training led him to coordinate the international team during the 2018 Thai Cave Rescue. Today, he uses his leadership to drive growth for individuals, companies, and institutions.

Director of Technical Operations and Risk Management at Progression, has been with the organization for over 19 years. He played a critical role in the command center during the Thai Cave Rescue, helping design rope system strategies. At Progression, he draws on his expertise in technical rope work, outdoor facilitation, wilderness medicine, and climbing instruction to create impactful courses and programs.
