What’s What? – Accreditation, Standards, Operating Procedures, and Practices

Yen Kai Lye
In this workshop, participants will explore the different layers of “doing” in outdoor practice and learn how to distinguish whether a particular approach aligns with standards, operating procedures, or common practices.
The session aims to deepen both self-awareness and system awareness, helping practitioners understand how their decisions connect to established safety frameworks and professional expectations.
