Deputy Principal - Elementary School, Stamford American International School

While residential programs are often seen as “one-off” events, they demand deep preparation from the educators who lead them. Traditional training can fall short, focusing on logistics while overlooking the dynamic, on-the-ground situations that require real-time problem-solving and emotional intelligence.

This session will explore our journey at Stamford American International School to elevate staff preparation for residential trips. We will detail our approach to building teacher and support staff confidence through targeted training in safeguarding, behavior management, emotional well-being, and crisis preparedness. My goal is to equip you with tangible, ready-to-use strategies that will empower your educators to feel comfortable, capable, and ready to respond to any challenge the field presents.
