ACA Community Paddlesports Leader (Hybrid) – Protected Waterways

ACA Community Paddlesports Leader (Hybrid) – Protected Waterways

Post-conference Workshop

The ACA Leader certification pathway builds practical leadership for paddlers—planning, group management, risk management, and rescue decision-making—focused on the paddling environment rather than any single craft. The Community Paddlesports Leader (CPL) is the entry point for leading day outings on protected, calm waterways, and is designed for club leaders, camps/nonprofits, and everyday paddlers who want to take friends and family out safely. Expect an active, scenario-based learning experience covering communication, planning, judgment, and simple rescue solutions, with integrated skill-building as needed in the Hybrid format.
