Identifying, Sharing and Risk Ownership in the Outdoors

This presentation will look at how different trips and different activities on trips require risk assessment, but moreover over it will look at how risk is identified, how this risk is shared, and who has ownership of this risk during the activity. It will also look at emergency action plans for different areas of operation and how these are best established, shared and communicated.
About Elliott
Elliott has been leading and developing Outdoor Education programs for the past 28 years. From NZ, Elliott developed a sequential outdoor education program for Overseas School Colombo, Sri Lanka and then led the development of WAB WILD and The Miao Liang Environmental Education Center for Western Academy Of Beijing. Elliott currently serves as Director of Outdoor Education and the Environmental Wilderness Campus for the International School of Bangkok.
Having developed Outdoor Education curriculum and facilities, Elliott has a wealth of experience in risk management and the practical application of this on trips.
