About Vijo
Vijo Varghese is the co-founder of OurLand, a land conservation organization that manages a nature reserve and sustainable eco-village. The 30 rai plot of secondary forest acts as a corridor for the rich biodiversity of Kanchanaburi, and as an education center with projects focusing on community-based conservation. OurLand aims to preserve and reforest 1000 rai in the next five years. In addition to this, Vijo is an expert on snake handling and operates a snake and wildlife rescue center. He acts as an advocate and ambassador for captive and wild Asian elephants, and educates others about Human-Elephant Coexistence.
